A Few of My Favorite Things
If you've been a reader for awhile you might remember my Favorite Things posts. I haven't done one in awhile, and thought it might be fun to share some of my recent obsessions.
1. This mascara is my new favorite. I like to keep my makeup light, but when it comes to lashes I like a bold look. One coat of this stuff makes my lashes long and full. Love that.
2. Hells yes Fall. Summer is great, but I'm ready for boots, scarfs, and steaming mugs of pumpkin spice latte. This coffee from Dunkin Donuts is super yummy and satisfies my cravings without spending five plus dollars at Starbucks.
3. It's no secret that I have a killer sweet tooth. I found this gelato at Target and picked it up just because the packaging was so pretty. Yeah, I'm a sucker. But it was so good! I want to try all the flavors now.
4. And speaking of Target...this perfect tee is my all time favorite. For only 8 dollars, I've started quite the collection. Seriously I have a ton of these in all different colors. Last week they were on sale for only 6 bucks! So of course I bought 3.

Week in iPhone Pics {9.25.11}
This week...
1. Hannah woke up with some killer bed head. The back was all matted together.
2. Hannah ate her breakfast on a plate. Normally I just put it all on her highchair tray, so she thought the new plate was pretty neat.
3. We played under a pink blanket, and when I took this picture it reminded me of her 3D ultrasound pictures.
4. We watched some gabbas.
5. Hannah snuck into my bedroom with her shoes and I caught her trying to put them on.
6. She got the shoes on, but the were on the wrong feet.
7. I took a picture of myself in the bathroom mirror. Myspace style.
8. Hannah started using her toy stroller as a chair. I don't see how it's comfortable, but lord help me if I try to get her off.
9. I drank gallons of this yummy toasted almond flavored coffee. Delish.
10. We toasted the morning with fresh coffee and more gabbas.
11. Hannah enjoyed a naked breakfast.
12. I made some yummy and relatively healthy brownie muffins. Hannah was a big fan.

Week in iPhone Pics {9.18.11}
This week...
1. Hannah wore her hair in pigtails for the first time.
2. I super deep cleaned my kitchen. It's already a mess again.
3. I made fettuccine alfredo with chicken and broccoli (the easy way). It was yum.
4. Hannah and I got sick and spent a day together at home. Hannah read me a lot of books.
5. Hannah hid from me when she got sick of taking pictures. Notice how I hardly ever have pictures of her face? She refuses to look at my camera/phone.
6. We bummed around a lot.
7. Daddy came home and cuddled with Hannah.
8. Target started selling my favorite Halloween candy. These caramel apple pops are so addicting.
9. We watched the baby episode of Gabba and I cried when they showed this video. It's so cute.
10-12. We went to a wedding that was an hour away and Hannah slept in the car with her new Brobee that we found at Target. They are BFFs.

What's In My Diaper Bag?
I've been meaning to write this post for awhile, but just kept putting it off for one reason or another. Today Hannah and I are staying home with a cold and she's in the middle of a nice long nap. And since I'm bored and refuse to do laundry while I'm sick, I'm here blogging about my diaper bag while she (hopefully) sleeps off her fever.
Let's start with the bag itself, shall we?
My first diaper bag was a standard baby monstrosity. It was huge, plastic and not very stylish at all. But that all changed six months ago when I found this lovely bag from ikabags. It's made of a soft and sturdy canvas material that is super washable. I just throw it in the washing machine and hang it up to dry. And there are tons of pockets for everything. No, it's not a traditional diaper bag, but that is why I love it. Oh, and Wytmer loves it, too. He puts it over his shoulder and calls it an adventure bag.
And now the stuff inside:
1. Entertainment for when Hannah gets bored. This week it's Ten Little Ladybugs by Melanie Gerth.
2. A squeezie pouch full of yummy peach applesauce.
3. More toddler snacks: Annie's chocolate chip bunnies in a Munchkin snack cup.
4. A sippy cup, usually with water inside.
5. Diapers. We use the Target brand and love them.
6. A onesie just in case Hannah needs to change.
7. My wallet that never has any money inside. Womp, womp.
8. Medicinal things. I send Hannah to her sitter with her diaper bag and I always keep this inside in case she needs anything like diaper cream or infant tylenol.
9. J.R. Watkins lemon scented hand cream. I can't get enough of how good this stuff smells.
10. Purell hand sanitizer.
11. My iPhone with Cath Kidston case.
12. A notebook full of lists. I like lists.
13. Burts Bees lip balm, my favorite.
And the best part?
It all fits!

Week in iPhone Pics {9.10.11}
This week...
1. Hannah and I watched UP. I freaking love that movie. Love.
2. Friday night is usually pizza night at our house. Hannah is a pizza snob. She will only eat the pizza from a little, hole-in-the-wall local place. I don't blame her though, it's ah-mazing.
3. And Wytmer is a weird-o. He is always putting things on his head. I have a few old pictures of him with Hannah's Bumbo on his head.
Yeah...that's it. I only took three pictures this week. Oops.

I Love Saturdays
| You know it's going to be a good day when it starts with warm biscuits smothered in nutella |
Today has been a lazy day so far. After eating way too many biscuits with nutella, I took a long shower and picked up the house a little. Hannah has been running around like a little tornado and leaving a serious path of destruction behind her. She's taking her nap right now, but as soon as she wakes up we're going to head out for some family fun. Wytmer mentioned the zoo or the beach. Both sound equally lovely.
Hope you all are having a fantastic Saturday!
XOXO

Sleeping Babies
![]() |
| A few days old |
This morning around 4:30 Hannah woke up crying. Wytmer brought her to bed with us where she quickly fell back asleep with both arms wrapped tightly around my arm. An hour or so lately I got up for work while Hannah slept in with her daddy. It's a pretty common scenario in our home, and one that I truly cherish.
I have a very special place in my heart filled up with memories of holding my sleepy baby in my arms. Moments like those aren't as common anymore. And I know one day she will be too old to sneak her way into my arms at night.
Hopefully that day is far away.
XOXO
