Water Baby

I might have mentioned here and there that we've been spending a lot of time at the pool this summer. Our apartment has a great private pool that is empty every morning during the week. Almost everyday we pull on our now faded and softened swim suits and take the short walk down to the pool. Hannah loves splashing around at what she calls "the beach" (I'm not sure how that happened, but it's so cute that we just go with it). Lately she's been more confident with the water and insists on climbing down the steps by herself. She also loves riding on my back in the shallow water with her hand on my swim suit straps, calling out, "yeehaw, horsie!"

These last few days of summer vacation are flying by quickly, and before we know it our days of lazy poolside laughter will be replaced with the rush of being a family with two working parents. This mama is really trying to savor every last breath of this season. Summer has been good to us.
