Currently I am...
Loving the amazing weather we are having. Wednesday just felt like a dream. It was still a little warm with a soft, cool breeze. If only we could have more days like that here in Houston.
Devouring the jar of cookie butter that Wytmer and I picked up from Trader Joe's. Houston just got Trader Joe's a little while ago and our only store is about an hour away from us, but luckily on the way to our wedding venue. After a meeting with the florist we made a special detour to check out the store and went straight for the cookie butter. This stuff is divine and we are already regretting not getting more than one jar.
Giving myself a break with my usual nit-picky house cleaning. This school year so far has been my most demanding yet, and I'm really struggling to keep up. Every weekend I get the place back in order, then by Tuesday it's a wreck. I know my mind would be so much more relaxed if I weren't surrounded by mess, but physically I'm so drained that I have to force myself to just accept the chaos.
Grateful for how like-minded Wytmer and I are. Sometimes I marvel at how much we have grown into each other over the past five years. Our personalities are still very different, but when it comes to what's important (like our religious and political beliefs, and our values and morals) we are identical. It makes me feel really confident to know that we are building our foundation on ideas that we both agree on.
Going to bed! Ha. I'm writing this post, as usual, at the last minute. As soon as I press "publish" I am closing the computer and calling it a night. Mama's 10pm bed time is fast approaching.
